No. It was based on the conflict diamond industry in general as it continues. Politics, greed, character development and economics. A bit of an eye-opener for many. One of the few Hollywood numbers worth watching.

No...it has to do with militia in Sierra Leone and how innocent people are kept as slaves to farm diamonds
