unfortunately I know what it is and my grandfather was the one who introduced me to them. He likes them and ordered them in a restaurant and ask if i wanted a bite then told me what they were. I am still traumatized

lamb's fries refers to the kidneys. Mountain oysters are testicles. Having eaten both I can say both are delicious but I prefer kidneys; grilled with fava beans and a good chianti

In Superior Montana they celebrate this cuisine at the "Testicle Festival".....All the rocky mountain oysters you can eat!.......They are delicious! You have to deep fry them, with either a flour/cornmeal crust or just plain flour and garlic salt and pepper, and slice them really thin after they are fried...Good with dipping sauce, like ranch dressing...........

In Alberta Canada, we call them prairie oysters, that is if you are talking about the nuts that are removed when they are young. and yes I have had them, when I was at a branding party,I did not what they were at the time, but I found them very tasty
