College is harder than high school, especially at the upper levels. And the really hard thing about it is, no one is going to harass you to do well. if you fail, that's your bsuiness. If you dont attend class, that's your business. If you don't ddo your work, that's your business. When you get to the end of the course, if you fail the course and then get thrown out of school because your GPA is low, that's your business.

If you don't have the discipline to study and do all your work just the way that it is supposed to be done, then you are likely to have a pretty short college career.

Now is the time, BEFORE you get to college, to work as hard as you can to improve your math and spelling so that they will not be an issue when you get to college.

It would depend upon your major and the school requirements. I wouldn't recommend Engineering or Education but you could easily succeed in many others: Management, Marketing.

Spell check gets you past a spelling issue with the exception of essay exams.

I never understood math until I got to college. Somehow, using it in an applied manner to solve for real world problems made a lot more sense and I ended up with a major in economics and even passed statistics using a check book calculator.

You'll find your way. It sounds like you have the will, which is 98% of any success.

Go get it!

Yes, you can. Most colleges offer academic support (tutors) if you're having any difficulty with your subjects. Make sure you spellcheck and reread all your papers.... also have someone else read and edit for you. College is supposed to be more challenging than high school, but that's not always the case. As long as you don't major in Math, you'll be fine. You'll probably end up taking one or two Math classes. If you major in Bio or Chem, you'll definitely be taking Math. Make sure you take advantage of the help colleges offer... that's what you're paying for too.

Invest in a good dictionary. And unless your major is something sciencey or mathy you shouldn't have to take too many math classes. I got away with only taking one math class in college and it was a very easy class. It's not so much that it's harder, it's just different. You need to be motivated to do the work. Professors aren't going to be pestering you for assignments, and a lot of them don't care if you fail.

College, to give you an example, tends to compress a whole high school year's worth of info into 6-8 weeks. So, yes, it can be more difficult than high school. This is especially true if you rely on teachers to jump you to get work done. The professors don't usually care. They think, "You paid for this class, if you choose to not do the work, it's your problem." You could stand a good chance of getting into college if you do well in your classes (C's or better) and do well on ACT/SAT's. Good luck!

Start by going to a community college, then see if you're ready for an actual university. Living with your parents during your first year might be beneficial because they can help you with writing the papers and studying and staying on task. When living in a dorm it's so hard to find a quiet place to study! But if you study hard enough and work really hard, then you can do it. I believe in you.

The further you go in college the harder it gets. Having said that if you study you will be fine. There are may tutors and instructors available to help. Also in addition to the education you get from college you benefit from the social environment from meeting people in classes, college clubs and organizations, etc...All of the education and social skill learned in college are very valuable in the real world.

You'll do fine. Who needs to spell anymore. That's what SPELLCHECK is for. Sometimes you can waive certain college math courses with some high school math classes and computer courses of a good GPA. Select a major in a course of study that doesn't require as much math. I majored in Psych. and never took a math course, except for Statistics.

college is all about how hard you work, not how smart you are. it is not much more difficult than high school, the work load is more though. you will actually need to do some homework (not a ton... but some) in HS you prob. never had to do any. don't get too scared, it's not as bad as you think. it is just like the jump from middle school to hs. you'll be fine

college isn't at all scary. it's a place to learn. learn new things. learn what you love. study what you are interested in and your passion will help you to be the best that you can be. coz it doesnt matter if you're smart, rich, famous, etc... as long as you love what you're doing, you'll do great.
