They are writing the script for it, but they are not for sure going to put it to film. They are also talking about possibly putting POTC as a Broadway show!! That would be awesome!!
If they do make a 4th movie, it will NOT have the same story line as these 3. It will be a different story.
I personally think they should end it with this one: At Worlds End.
I Love pirates of the Caribbean & can't wait to see POTC:AWE!!!!

maybe but, they're going to have to replace orlando and keira but, then how good of a movie would that be or just pay them lots and lots of money.
ORLANDO even said, "It's been so much fun doing them but I think this is really the end for this trilogy of films... but they (producers) haven't said for sure that this is the end of the road." The British actor admits he thinks adding more movies to the Pirates franchise would be a bad idea: "Can you imagine Pirates 10. I'll be on a walker and Johnny will be in a wheelchair." so he obviously doesn't want to do a 4th one and he thinks it should stay a trilogy.
KEIRA said that she has been playing the character of elizabeth for to long even though she enjoyed the films, she happy to leave and do other things.
JOHNNY is the only person who would be happy to do a 4th one, along with some of the producers.
honestly, i think the plot for the fourth one would suck and ruin all of the other movies and would be overdoing the whole pirates thing. and they should go out with a WOW and BANG (the third one) instead of an UH and okay (the fourth one).
sorry, to ruin any of your hopes for a fourth one.

It's tough to say.
My guess is if # 3 left enough of an opening then yes.
also it depends on the filmmakers and the buzz the last 3 have created.
Personally if it is gonna degrade the other 3 then i don't want a fourth.
But if the same amount of talent and hard work went into it as the other 3 then yes bring it on! LOL

We can hope they don't. The 2nd wasn't so good. Don't know about the third, the fourth would be nothing but a rehash of the 1st. 3 because they're just trying to make a quick buck.

I read a article in cinescape.com a while back that said that their planning a part 4 in which Will Turner dies.
but i saw a deal on part 3 that said Johnny Depp said this is the end.

No, there will only be the three live action movies. But don't be surprised if an animated series makes it to the Disney Channel
