How & it's official document? I've heard stories about how people were born on one day & their birth certificate says another. Is this really true? Can this really happen?

Yes. Yes. Yes. It can happen and it does happen.
My birth certificate has the wrong date entered/signed by the Doctor and the wrong time according to my parents. And yes, it is still a legally acceptable document.

People are after all human, so mistakes can happen. Lets see they have mixed up babies in the hospital, so why could they then not also mess up an birth certificate. Any thing can happen in this life.

Does it matter?
Maybe the parents were not in the right state of mind and they got the dates mixed up?
The birth certificate is pretty much what the government will believe.

My birth certificate has a typo...It says Ermany instead of Germany. Never had a problem with it.

Yes...the doctor wrote down I ws born on a Friday and I was born on a monday

Of course its possible..Doctors are human, too. Although morally and ethically it is a horrible thing, it can happen. Thats the sad reality of it..
