Did peter die? He has the power to regenerate though.
I know Nathan died too.

No, Peter didn't die.
I believe that he needed Nathan to fly because he was focusing all of his power into controlling himself - he couldn't fly on his own.
Claire was supposed to shoot Peter in the brain and kill him permanently. (Like the glass and the tree branch).
Nathan gave up his life so Peter could live.

I think Peter and Nathan survived.
Nathan is a fast flyer he could have let go of Peter and flew away way before he exploded and would have missed the blast radius.

Peter can regenerate, so he can't die after explosions. It's also implied from Ted's multiple explosion incident that the one exploding doesn't really get hurt....
I think Mrs. Petrelli teleported up into the air to get Nathan and teleported him back to the ground just before Peter exploded, yes, it's been rumored that her power is teleportation.
So.....no one dies! yay

what i think happened is that nathan threw peter up in the air more and then flew down and when peter blew up and when peter regenerated nathan went and caught him. but that ending with hiro going back to the past was awsome i wonder if he'll get another power from that eclipse......

Peter doesn't die but Nathan might have died from the radiation if not from the explosion, but you never know.

I get confused.....when he would explode would that mean he let out a burst of energy or did his body explode? Did they make it to outer space? I wouldn't think that Nathan would be able to fly that high and not suffocate to death. If indeed they were in outer space than how could there be an explosion with fire when there is no oxygen?

they didnt show what happened. i assume peter survived. and it looked like sylar escaped down that manhole too.
