First, know that
speed of sound = Frequency x wavelength
Now, you have to know what units you want wavelength to be in. For instance, if you want it in miles, it is necessary to find out the speed of sound in miles per second. If you want wavelength in meters, find the speed of sound in meters per second, for feet, find the speed of sound in feet per second etc. Lets do it for feet per second:
If the speed of sound is about 700 mph, first convert miles per hour to feet per second. Since there are 3600 seconds in one hour and 5280 ft/mile we do the following:
[700 (mile/h) x 5280 (ft/mile)] / 3600 (s/h) = 1026.67ft/s
We'll use this as our new speed of sound
So recall that:
speed of sound = Frequency x wavelength, so
Wavelength = Speed of sound/Frequency
= (1026.67ft/s)/100Hz
(remember Hertz is cycles/second)
= (1026.67ft/s)/100 cycles/second
= (1026.67/100) ft/cycle
= 10.2667 ft/cycle
(where feet/cycle is really a wavelength) so...........
the wavelength is 10.2667 ft
Good luck!

Wavelength is propagation velocity divided by frequency (for --any-- wave).
Now...... Your mission (should you choose to accept it) is to go find out what the velocity of sound is (in meters.second). Then divide that by 100 (just shift the decimal point 2 places to the left if you can't figure out how to use a calculator) and that will be the wavelength (in meters) of a 100 Hz tone.

Using the wave equation
c = lamda * f
(where
c is the wave velocity
lamda is the wave length
f is the frequency)
we get
lamda = c / f.
Using a value of 330 m/s (which is the approximate speed of sound in air) we result in
lamda = 330 m/sec / 100 Hz = 3.3 m

velocity = frequencyXwavelength... I guess if u take the velocity of the sound wave to be 330 m/s in air, then 330=100Xwavelength.. ==> wavelength = 3.3 m..

Wavelength x frequency = velocity of sound
Wavelength = velocity of sound / frequency
Velocity of sound ( in air )=340 m/s
Wavelength=340/100=3.4 meter
wavelength of sound is 3.4 meter
