Lately it is bad bad bad. I mean there are some exceptions but eww it all gets old after awhile. Plus it is always about sex or something,just selling that,or in rap talking about hoes and stuff. What kind of message are we trying to send here?

rap is the noise that makes me think way back when Elvis was first starting out and people were saying his music and dancing were to wild sort of the work of the devil might have been right.
rap is i am sure nothing but the work of the devil .
most music written that is popular now is crap.
not all of it but certainly most of it.
early rock music had more of a folk influence to it and so it had a story or message to tell .
heavy metal came along and ended that.
then came a few more variations on that same theme and we have ended up with rap noise.
i would as a person who is so very much in favor of freedom of speech censor rap.
i think rap the worst of it the stuff the blacks put on is just telling the blacks to join gays kill people commit all manner of crime forget about feelings and instead hate. that is the message to the males. the message to the females is much the same only instead it says become whores and have a gang member as your pimp.
the oddest thing is that when a white person repeats even the most mundane of the words in rap they are called racists.
a sad world this is with this rap crap and the idea's that it sends to the black race.

I think you have the message down pat. The gangsta cr@p will go away after they all kill each other and give their women fatal diseases, and the hip-hop stuff needs to get more old school to survive.
I remember when pop music sounded like country today.

yeah, I use to laugh at a buddy who always said the same thing- apparently people think they're cool if they say that everything popular suckz!- It can't ALL be bad!
