HIV infects women more easily than it does men because you are more likely to contract it through receptive intercourse rather than insertive intercourse. Women are the fastest growing group of the HIV-infected, especially in places like some areas of Africa. The average life expectancy for a woman in Zimbabwe, one of the areas with the highest concentration of HIV infection, is 34 years. For a man it is significantly higher.

If 10,000 people engaged in each of these activities with no use of protection, this is how many of those people would be estimated to contract HIV.

Blood Transfusion - 9,000
Chilbirth - 2,500
Needle-sharing injection drug use - 67
Receptive anal intercourse - 50
Percutaneous needle stick - 30
Receptive vaginal intercourse - 10
Insertive anal intercourse - 6.5
Insertive vaginal intercourse - 5
Receptive oral intercourse - 1
Insertive oral intercourse - .5

Women also develop AIDS from HIV much faster than men do and die from it much more often. Their systems typically can not cope with a high viral load.

So yes, women are more likely to get HIV and die more quickly from the effects of it.

yes. there is an easier way for men to get it though. The four body fluids that have been shown to transmit HIV are:

(Listed in the order of their infectiousness)
1. Blood
2. Semen (and pre-semen)
3. Vaginal Secretions
4. Breast Milk

Because HIV is present in blood, there are several other ways that HIV can be transmitted.

sharing needs to inject drugs or steroids
receiving tatoos or body piercing with unsterilized equiptment
sharing snorting equiptment such as straws or pens when blood is present

Affect like how? Yes, It is true that HIV is more easily transmitted from
Male to Female than Female to Male. However, HIV is transmitted the easiest from Male to Male because of anal intercourse.
Are their more Men or Woman with HIV depends on the location. Places like south east Asia i.e. Thailand have more woman infected because of prostitution. Therefore, one male infects many females. Since HIV is less likely to transmit from Female to Male not every Female prostitute will infect every Male customer. In the US more Males are infected because of intravenous drug use and male homosexuality.
Affect like how is the question?

It is a *lot* easier to become infected by HIV if you are the receiver of the tainted fluid. So gay male bottoms and females who don't practice safe sex are more likely to catch it than straight or top gay males.

In North America that seems to be the case right now. In Africa I'm unsure but I think it's more like 50/50.

No I don't think so, but I am pretty sure us women are catching up. I think it is still more common amongst the male gay community except for places like Africa and such.

it seems that it does because its easier for a woman to get it from a man than a man to get it from a woman because they r actually ejaculating in you but the easiest way to get it is anal because of bleeding and everything
