Why can't these people work together to get initiatives accomplished....it is the only career I know that you still get paid but don't have to work together and don't have to come to a solution with any of the issues brought forward on to their plate....why tell me why and why do all the same dough heads always get elected....Kennedy....Why can't we get normal people in our governmet that actually represent the majority of those that live in this country.....It is always the rich ruling the middle and the poor....what is wrong with that.

That's a very good question. But if you look that the way things go down you will find that in order for the Democrats to call something bi-partisan one everyone must agree with the Democrats. Like the immigration bill or the education bill that past a few years ago. Ted Kennedy was involved in both of them. Some Democrats don't like the idea of working with Republicans. Democrats love to raise every ones taxes and most Republicans don't. Democrats believe in big government and that everyone can't do any thing for themselves. Most Republicans believes in the individuals. They believes that a person can do anything they set their minds to and that the government should get out of the way of law abiding citizens.

Because if they work together, we won't have any headlines! We'll only have one party!! We won't cause any big conflicts!! Things will run smoothly! No one will be taking pictures of homely republicans, and Democrats!!! The ELITE, won't see their pictures on the nightly news anymore!!! They,ll have to go home after work and mingle with their families like the rest of us!!! They won't be able to form congressional panels to take junkets around the world to investigate each other anymore!! Then we'll only need a few of them!!!!

We keep hiring them.

We look at elections like a popularity contest instead of looking at it as an application for a job. We elect people we like, who we want to have a beer with, who looks nice and goes to our church. Never realizing they probably have a criminal record, aren't qualified and aren't trustworthy. We should be interviewing these people and get them to lead by example. Anybody can talk a good game, but who can walk the walk?

Individuals on both sides are too worried about protecting their parties interest to do what they feel is right. They have to have the backing of their party to get greenbacks and support to run for offices. It's pretty sickening. I wish a third party would step up. It's time, the nation needs it.
