William Blake - God and Christianity constituted the intellectual center of his writings, from which he drew inspiration.

T.S. Eliot - Ash Wednesday is the first long poem written by Eliot after his 1927 conversion to Anglicanism. Published in 1930, this poem deals with the struggle that ensues when one who has lacked faith in the past strives to move towards God.

In 1385, Geoffrey Chaucer published his Canterbury Tales which included an account of Jews murdering a deeply pious and innocent Christian boy.

Late medieval literature in England - Religious literature, such as hagiographies enjoyed popularity.

I believe that C.S. Lewis (wrote The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe) was from Ireland (that might not count though). You can look up many of his quotes which are Christian based. You may want to look at William Blake as well (he is British). Particularly, look at his "Songs of Innocence" collection, specifically, "The Lamb" poem. And, to the above poster, it is believed that the Christian inferences in Beowulf were added later by a monk that translated the text. If you read the lines carefully, the Christian pieces are out of place in context with the story. The Bible is not British Lit. It was published in a King James' version, but it's origins are middle-eastern.
