I had them-- itchy, itchy, scratchy, scratchy.
I got out of a whole week in kindergarten with that one back in 1972...

I got the chicken pox spring break when I was in 2nd grade. The worst part of it was I was supposed to have gotten to go to Disney world with my friend, her parents were paying for me to go so she would have a friend and because of the dang chicken pox I missed out on it. I have a 3 yr old and 5 year old and they have had the shot. back when I was a kid they didnt have that shot.

I had chicken pox when I was 4-5 that would be in the early 80's

I have never had Chicken Pox - or measles or mumps! Now I am an adult, and I can spot a kid with Chicken Pox five miles away - and I run in the opposite direction. It's amazing how many mothers take their Chicken Pox kid out in public places like movies and restaurants when they are covered with bumps and sores. Now I have found out that I have to avoid people with shingles, too, because you can catch Chicken Pox from them!!

I got the chicken pox when I was 3, so that was before school, & I have not had the vaccine

I had the chicken pox. I was down for 2 weeks with them, but I had a really severe case. It would have been about 1961. Oy..a long time ago.

Chicken pox in the 5th grade, and I've got a few scars to prove it. I missed a week of school, too.

chicken pox is great for the skin..
well not for the time it appeared but on the time it's healed..
my doctor said it releases all the dirt from our blood...
so don't wander if it feels scratchy and itchy...
