If your writing here is any indication of your intelligence and education, you won't even play college ball. You'll end up 40 years old, working a minimum wage job, and watching basketball at the bar, still bragging about your high school stats. Do you know how many really, really good high school players there are, and how few make it to the NBA? Take a look at your priorities, young man. You have a long way to go.

So what? My team went 25-0. Haha. I was so good I even played for the boy's team and scored 54 points per game and 26 assists.

Come on, dude, this is the internet. You can say whatever you want and no one's going to care because it's the internet. 90% of the information on here is flat out lies and another 9% is exaggerated.

You can be as cocky as you want, but it's not going to help your basketball game.

Yeah, you're being way too cocky. What's the point of being cocky, it doesn't prove anything other than your large ego. People will like you a lot more if you're modest and really good at something. Even thought people compliment you on your skills doesn't mean you have the right to rub it in their faces cause they can't beat you. Note how people get annoyed with Kobe because he's cocky, he trash talks and that's why a lot of people don't like him.

Sophomore:

I'm one of the best players in my area. I've won mutiple championships for my school and awards. But people don't hate me because I'm not an a**. Just because your the best deosn't mean you can run your mouth and keep proclaiming your the best. I don't do that and look, no one on my team, my school, or community hate me. You have to have respect for other people. Just because your the "best" doesn't mean that you can be a Grade A a***wipe

Think about this young man.. How many players are in the NBA? 500 i would guess. How many Division 1 basketball players are there? 7000. So by my calculations....less than 20% of Division 1 college players make it to the NBA.....so look at these stats and you tell me if you are this good. If you are....go to school.....stay in school....get a degree.....and if you go any higher....then just thank God for the talent he gave you.

People dont like others who rub their talents into their faces. So if you want people to appreciate what you are doing dont talk a big game just play it. It is not wrong to be confident and expect to lead your team to victory but it is wrong and annoying to run your mouth and self glorify yourself. I'll give you a comparison, right now you are a stephon marbury/ steve francis type you want to be a KG or steve nash.

As long as you keep winning and putting up the stats and points, I wouldn't consider you cocky. Just I wouldn't talk trash or brag about yourself going pro. Don't be too sure of yourself, because if all of that stuff doesn't happen your friends will make fun of you for the rest of your life ): So be careful what you say but still be proud of yourself and keep pushing yourself to your dreams and goals. (:

Yes that is cocky if your serious about it. If your just joking around with your friends from time to time saying your the best then thats okay. But if your really serious when you say those kind of things, your friends will probably see you as cocky, and they'll probably get sick of you talking. Honestly, I despise cocky people.

I wouldn't tell people that you could win games for your team. That's guaranteed to get people to hate you. Yeah, I'd say you're too cocky if you say that then. Just remember that without a team, you're nothing.
