And, simply google: "symbolism in writing" where you will find 11,200 references.

I selected three to get you started. I don't necessarily endorse them but I am an artist, writer and photographer who uses a great deal of symbolism in my work. I think it helps to see what many people have to say, without censorship.

That's up to you.. It would depend entirely on what the story was about and what kind of images you wanted to use. Why not trying a dream meanings site to add images that are symbols? Pax - C
