The show is supposed to start back on September 24. They intended for it to have some unanswered questions so people would come back next season.

Some of your questions were answered weeks ago. Sylar killed those people to gain their powers, unlike Peter, he needed to see how their brain worked in order to gain the knowledge and use it for himself.
My opinion on the waitress was that it was an opportunity for Hiro to come in contact with Nathan. Also, it was the first time Hiro learns of Sylar
He saved the Cheerleader so that Sylar would remain mortal enough to be killed. If he had gotten Clair at the HS dance, he would possess the power of regeneration.
My questions are still with Nathan. He had a change of heart because of what Clair said. The future isn't written in stone... but. Why did Peter need Nathan to fly? Peter already possessed Nathan's power... this one puzzles me
Was it just me, or did it seem there was a small bug crawling on the sewer top at the end?

Well I think it's pretty obvious the Sylar killed the people and split their heads open to obtain their powers. Their powers= more power for himself. The storyline with Charlie (the waitress) showed Hiro that even though he can travel through time, not everything can be changed, she was going to die either way. It also showed that he still had alot of work to do to control his powers (ending up back in Japan).
I think Nathan's change of heart came when Claire jumped out the window. He finally realized the magnitude of what he was doing, to the city and to Peter. He just had to get out from under his Mothers influence. I also don't think there would be any reason for Mr. Bennet to lie about his name at this point. Throughout the season it was always kept a big secret, so I think him revealing it shows how his charachter has changed from a big top secret guy, into a more honest and trustworthy person.
I was a little disappointed with how Nathan and Peter ended up though. Did Peter die, or does he come back? And what EXACTLY was the problem with shooting him?? That wouldn't have killed anyone, and would have stopped the bomb I thought. I hope Peter is alive..

Ok some of those questions were answered like Sylar killed all those people so he could eat their brains and gain their powers. And the waitress helped Hiro figure out that he couldn't change something that already happened. And Nathan had a change of heart at the last minute because he knew that was the right thing to do. And because Linderman was dead and that made him realize that the future wasn't in stone. And saving the cheerleader meant that peter could blow up, but not die because he had absorbed her powers. And I'm not sure about the last question. I hope I helped you figure this out.

Why did Sylar kill all those people?
- Gabriel was raised from a young age to believe that he should be special. That being normal wouldn't suffice. Even special isn't good enough for him. His original power is a little lame but, he can steal power from others. In his mind, this makes him special and the killing is justified.
Why did he slit their heads open?
- He needs to brain to get their powers. We don't know exactly how. But, when Eden killed herself by pulling a bullet through her brain, she stopped Gabriel from getting her power, thank goodness.
What did that waitress in Texas that Hiro fell in love with have to do with the story at all?
- I think Charlie was another catalyst for the "love is the ultimate power" topic. Plus, it taught Hiro that he wasn't infallible...that his powers couldn't fix everything. Also, it was the first time Hiro learns about Gabriel. Hiro already had the urge to save the cheerleader-save the world but with Gabriel killing Charlie and almost killing Ando it brought him down to a personal level.
Why did Nathan have a change of heart at the last minute?
- Claire helped him open his eyes to what was going on. He was seeing everything on a global power-struggle scale. She brought it closer to home for him by pointing out the bad in his mother and reminding him of all he'd be losing. I believe her jumping out the window was a wake up call for Nathan.
Why was it necessary to "save the cheerleader" to "save the world"?
- It was necessary because Gabriel would be nearly invincible. Granted, we're pretty sure now that he's not dead. I'm sure once he saw the comic, he took some step to prevent it. But, if he had Claire's power, he'd be that much more formidable.
I think Gabriel picked up a shape-shifting power somewhere. He *was* the cockroach crawling out of the sewer. (Also, that's a play on Mohinder's speech at the very beginning of the first episode).
Is Mr. Bennet's name REALLY Noah?
- I hope so. :) I expected something a little...stronger. But, we can draw so many theories from his name and the theological implications of it.
I can't wait till September 24th!

Ok
#1 He killed them to take there powers
#2 He slit there Heads open to remove their brain and extract there power.
#3 Charlie (texas girl) was killed by Sylar to Take her power to learn fast and remember everything. This gives him the ability to learn how to use his powers almost immediately. He has self control and full control over his powers, unlike Peter.
#4 Nathan is a good person and loves his brother
#5 the cheerleader had to be saved because she is the only reason Peter can regenerate AND ( THIS IS MOST IMPORTANT) IF SYLAR GOT HER POWER HE WOULD BE UNBEATABLE. So he saved her from Sylar. And yes his name is Noah, i'm sure you can catch the Metaphorical symbol there.

Sylar's mom always pushed him to be something special that's why he craved power so much. He slit their heads open to take their brain and therefore steal their power.
The waitress in TX had a power also which was super memory, she had the ability to memorize anything fast. That's why she learned Japanese so fast remember? Sylar got that power as soon as he killed her and took her brain.
Nathan had a change of heart just like any person can have at the last minute.
Until now we only knew Mr Bennett as Mr. Bennett and of course HRG.. This was the first time we knew about his first name..
I thought it was awesome!

You want closure to a show that is going to continue.
Let's see what I can help you out with.
Why did Sylar kill all those people? He wanted to be special. You learned that from his coversation his mother and with Suresh. He said that the people he took the powers from were not deserving of their gifts. He started out by wanting to free them of their burdens and then figured that with each new power he became something stronger, something different. He became a time instrument in need of a new piece. Until he killed Isaac and then he was a time bomb in search for a place to blow up, his higher purpose.
Why did he slit their heads? Molly told you that one when she told Mohinder that the Boogeyman cuts open your head to eat your brain.
What did that waitress in Texas that Hiro fell in love with have to do with the story at all? She taught Hiro a valuable truth wich is that you can not change the past to effect the present. This is why future Hiro has to rely on Hiro to change save Claire and to kill Sylar. Future Hiro could not save Claire or kill Sylar because to do so would be to change the time line that caused him to do so. Hiro could not save Charlene because the only reason he went back was because she died. As is the time line that created future Hiro and Future Peter has forever been changed.
Why did Nathan have a change of heart at the last minute? that was obvious by the fact that he was talking to Claire and no one else. She guilted him into protecting his little brother. Plus he wanted to protect her and she ran away jumping out the window. Claire also pointed out that his mother was trying to keep them apart all these years. He must have figured out that she was right.
Why was it necessary to "save the cheerleader" to "save the world?" That was explained in the future. Claire had to be saved to stop Sylar from acquiring her power and surviving Hiro's sword thrust. In one time line Sylar kills Claire and becomes unstoppable. By saving Claire Peter becomes unstoppable and as the bomb Peter gets out of the city to blow up saving the world. Sylar would have blown up in the city on purpose but Hiro stabbed him through the heart.
Is Mr. Bennet's name REALLY Noah? I certainly hope so and it makes sense because Noah was the person who saved what was good in the world from a great cateclism because God told him to. There is a heavy God infuence in this series. The symbol they all come in contact with is the Godsent symbol.
Hope these comments helped.

It was nessacary to save the cheerleader(Claire) because if sylar were to get a hold of her power NOBODY could stop him, since he was taking everyones power.
Sylar kilt all those people because i think he felt to need to be better because of his mom. She was telling that he can do better than becoming a watch maker and stuff.
Doesnt lenderman have healing powers so couldnt he heal himself. i also wonder what is peter and nathan moms power, she has to have one. i think that the man that Molly was talking about is Nathan and peters father.
Nathan was struggle between him mom and himself to see weather he should actually let peter blow up and kill all those people so the world could depend on him or weather he should save his beloved brother.
hope that helped

I completely agree. I expected so much more. I didn't even find the ending all that exciting. They leave so many questions unanswered so people come back for more. I expected there to be more of a battle between peter and sylar, but it wasn't much of anything. They build up to this 'big finale' all season, and they show us nothing useful.
