No. Say he starts the bottom of 9th with his team up 7-3. He gives up a solo home run to make it 7-4, then walks the next 2 batters. He then strikes out the side to end the game. He doesn't get the save, since he's the one who gave up the run to make it 7-4.

No - save opportunities are defined by the score when a pitcher enters the game. That is, it's either a save opportunity when he comes into the game or it isn't - it cannot become a save opportunity for that pitcher later.

I believe that it CAN happen, under odd circumstances. If a pitcher is of record to get the win, and then they are replaced by another pitcher, but they do not leave the game (moving to another position) and then they go back to pitching later, they can ALSO get the save.
I think I remember that happening to the Mets in 86 or so. They moved one pitcher to right field and brought in another pitcher for two batters, and then moved the first pitcher back to the mound. I think it was either Roger McDowell or Jesse Orosco.

No. If you enter a game in a non-save situation, & give up some runs to make it a save situation, you can not be given credit for the save. It just means you weren't very effective.

A pitcher can get a save no matter what the score is, if they come in after the start with any lead, and pitch at least the final three innings of such game, without losing the lead.

No. The save situation depends completely upon the situation when he first takes the mound.

Sure he can. Beat up the closer and steal his jersey, then go out and pitch.
