See these statements in Bhagavad Gita reagarding Veda and Vedanta in your own blog.
"
The knowers of the three vedas, who by drinking soma are purified of sins, worship me with sacrifices and pray for heaven. Reaching the holy world of the king of gods (Indra), they enjoy in heaven all celestial pleasures.
" - Bhagavad Gita in line with Veda - (chapter 9, verse 17)
"
The Vedas have the three gunas as their subject; be above the three qualities, O Arjuna. Free from the pairs of opposites, be firmly established in purity, and not caring for gain and preservation, be possessed of the Self.
Whatever use a well has in a place flooded with water, that much use there is in the Vedas for an enlightened person.
"
- Bhagavad Gita in line with Vedanta - (chapter 2, verses 45 and 46)

Now also see your own statements deducted from Aurobindo's thoughts on Vedas.
The Rig Veda mantras propound all the speech or all
the ideas and thoughts leading to all-sided
perfection;
the Yajur Veda develops the mind which is the source
of all actions;
the Sama Veda makes us fully develop our life energies
or
prana for completely developing our potential.
The Atharva Veda gives the methods of perfection of
our body and senses like eyes (chakshu) or hearing.

Vedic texts speak of four different varna,
Brahmins = Priests
Kshatriya = warrior princes, chieftains
Vaishya = agriculturalists, merchants, traders
Shudra = laborers, servants to other three varnas
Now Brahmins or priests are intellectuals in society,
not just by birth but also by actions. May be we can
assume them to be the dreamers, the ones who take life
as dream and try to realise that.
For them direct or indirect practice of Rigveda with
the theme "Prajnanam Brahma" (Consciousness is God)
shall give some good plans for developing a good
society with good practices. perhaps ie why that
deduction came Rigveda for the Intellectuals or
Brahmins.
Now the next class in any society, the Rulers or
Kshatriyas with Stern Mind to play longer innings of
games in life. For any Chieftain in any society a
Stern Mind is the primary requirement.
So practice of Yajur Veda with the Upanishad Mahavakya
theme "Aham Brahmasmi" can give really good rulers and
chieftains for the society. Perhaps that's why that
deduction was there that Yajur Veda for Kshatriyas. It
is also said that Yajur Veda is the Canvas upon which
Rig and Sama Vedas are painted.
Now Vysyas are the artists of life force to any
society. It is said the verses of Sama Veda are
extended into all the other Vedas, perhaps making a
cloudy merger and overlap of all Vedas into One Unit.
May be that's why the theme Mahavakya of Samaveda
Tatvamasi (Thou Divine Art THAT) takes a very
important role in any society. Perhaps that is the
reson the Sama Veda is assumed by many to have given
to the Vysys community comprising of Businessmen and
Artists giving the life energy to any society, acting
the life in a good dramatic fashion.
Now, the Atharva Veda with the theme Mahavakya "Ayam
Athma Brahma", promotes the perfection of body and
senses to meet the challenges of life with meekness.
Of course Atharva Veda of which the Ayurveda and
Sthapathya Veda (herbs for cure and ways to build)
are considered parts, promotes better perfection for a
stronger and diseaseless body with sharp senses which
are required for Shudras to meet the challenges of
life very well. The healthy and stable General Masses,
the working community, the common men are very
important for any society to present a beautiful
picture. So this could be the reason Atharva Veda is
said to be given primarly to Shudras.
Hope the expressions are clear.. and George Sir, as
you prompted these thoughts, please refer the link
given above as a referal point. Many thoughts in that
link on Yajur Veda are from Sri.Aurobindo who first
delared the Descendence of Krishna Consciousness upon
Earth on 24th November 1926, to the Whole World and
withdrew from overt public actions from then on
saying, He need not bother much now on about the
welfare of people, perhaps because Sathya Sai Baba has
already descended upon Earth on 23rd November 1926.
Now also see this post in athmavidya group regarding
the guide to Indian Culture and Spirituality. Perhaps
this is a deduction analogy from Vedas.

Now from these analogies, if we try to deduce the ritualistic and heirarchial parts in Vedas and then try to project it into Capitalism by replacing God with Money, your arguements hold good. Its somewhat a distorted version of Vedas with the aim not Godhood, but Material Money and Material Comforts the underlying thread of Capitalism.
Of course the extreme rightist Capitalism virtually assimilated whatever said in the time immemorial Vedas in a ditto manner with only the Aim, a being a different one.
The same hold good for Vedanta as subtle thread for the Leftist Philosophy. See the statements from Bhagavad Gita on Vedanta
http://www.saibaba.us/texts/jnaneshwari/chpt02.html
Now here in this case of where the extreme leftists of Marxicism / Communism / Socialism speak of Dialectical Materialism, ie the Dialectical aspects of Material World.
They have also copied in a ditto fashion the Time immemorial descriptions given out in Vedanta by Upanishads, with only one Change, ie by changing the Aim from Godhood to Material Comforts by changing Dialectical Dianetics, the Dialectical aspects of Soul, the Variety with which that is presented into Dialectical aspects of Materialism.
The Western World is often very good in the art of Material Exploitation, perhaps because most of the time just like Devas, the Angels of Heaven, they know not much things beyond the material comforts.
Moksha or Moha Kshaya, the cessation of All Desires something beyond the imaginary planes of the supporters of an Absolutely Real Sensory World.
So they replaced the Aim of Godhood from both the Vedas and Vedanta and placed Money, Material Comforts and Sensory Pleasures over there just like Angels in Heaven like Indra or Kama Dev or the Demons like Hiranya Kashipu and Ravana following the Vedas and Vedanta without the aim of Salvation.
That's what it can be clearly deducted from the extreme Right Wing Philosophy of Capitalism, the bye product of Vedas with distorted Aim and with hierarchial concepts with importance to names, forms and brand values.
The so called the extreme Leftist Philosophy of Marxists / Communists or Socialists can be certainly said to be a bye product of Vedanta with a distorted aim for whom the amount of Gold that constitute diferent names and forms aiming an ideal classless, uniform society with Material Comforts for All instead of the aim God Realisation as in actual Vedanta.
Hope the analogies are clear.

Hello Dr. Joe, Here are 3 beliefs concerning food that I believe have no scientific basis: 1. That a normal person should not eat eggs because because it will increase their cholesterol level. 2. That soy milk is healtheir than cow's milk for menopausal woman. 3. That it's better to take calcium supplements than drinking milk or getting calcium from other food sources. PS. I think this is a great initiative for bringing science to the public!

i think basically the scriptures were written for all of us to understand life.the purpose to be born,our duties uptil death.politicising this issue is baseless.we should follow the dharma,karma and ultimately help our soul to immerse with god. who is our father.to reach back to him. and wash out all our sins.
