We have to do a mock rock for school. Its 4 girls and it has to be a song from the 70's. What should we do? I had in mind "Stayin' Alive" but I welcome any other suggestions.

Well, I think first you have to decide which direction you want to go. The 70's were known for disco (not really rock) and Classic guitar rock. "Stayin Alive" while quite popular, isn't a rock song.

Here's some 70's Rock songs
Sweet - Ballroom Blitz
Kiss - Rock And Roll All Nite
Eric Clapton - I Shot The Sherif
The Cars - You're All I've Got Tonight
Peter Frampton - Show Me The Way
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Sweet Home Alabama
ELO - Don't Bring Me Down
Eric Clapton - Cocaine
The Steve Miller Band - Take The Money And Run
Lynyrd Skynyrd - What's Your Name
Orleans - Still The One
Ike & Tina Turner - Proud Mary
Deep Purple - Smoke On The Water
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Free Bird
Kiss - Shout It Out Loud
Foreigner - Hot Blooded
Cheap Trick - I Want You To Want Me
The Cars - Let's Go
The Edgar Winter Group - Frankenstein
Elton John - Bennie & The Jets
Carole King - It's Too Late
Janis Joplin - Me And Bobby McGee
Elton John - Crocodile Rock
Foreigner - Urgent
The Romantics - What I Like About You

Many different songs come to mind:

Sweet - Ballroom Blitz (1974)
Creedence Clearwater Revival - Travelin' Band (1970)
Pink Floyd - Time (1973)
Pink Floyd - Money (1973)
Pink Floyd - Another Brick in the Wall Pt. 2 (1979)
The Ramones - I Wanna Be Sedated (1978)
The Ramones - Blitzkrieg Bop (1976)
Derek and the Dominos - Layla (1970)
Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven (1971)
Led Zeppelin - Rock and Roll (1971)
Led Zeppelin - Black Dog (1971)
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Tuesday's Gone (1973)
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Freebird (1973)
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Simple Man (1973)

Since it's for school, I would think Another Brick in the Wall Pt. 2 would be perfect!
