omg, its calcium carbonate(base) + hydrochloric(acid) acid gives you carbon dioxide + H2O(water) + CaCl2(salt)

I have three answers to your simple question.

1.) Intellect and knowledge of chemical equations are not interchangeable. You are using non-sequitor reasoning to measure an individual's intelligence.

2.) Yes, I know exactly what your equation is.

3.) Adjust the HCL and the equation will be correct. Currently, it is wrong.

Your judging intellect threw knowledge in chemistry? There is all different types of smart. A family friend of mine is an honest to god rocket scientist.

Yet he knows nothing else. Couldn't even hold a conversation with him. Unless you want a lecture in rocket science i mean.
