i'm new to this whole yahoo answers thing... and i was wondering how i get points...???

Yeah right, cause every new person is given a top contributor badge. You know i think it's just amnesia.....did u get hit in the head or something? You'll get the hang of it once your memory comes back (if that is indeed the cause of your insanity=P), answer questions=gain points, asking questions=loss of points.

Answer questions gets you points. Visiting yahoo answers gives you points. If you answer to a question is picked as the best answer, you get points. Asking questions takes points away.

Answering questions, getting a thumbs up, adding comments, voting on undecided questions etc.
You should also know that asking a question is -5 points.
