Yes, but only if they are homemade. I like to add shallots to the potatoes while they cook and mash them along with the potatoes. Adds great flavor.

Yes--- when they are "accessorized" with sour creme and butter, they are even better!!! Just make certain that if you are boiling real potatoes to make certain they are completely clean-- nothing is more worse than having mud or dir in the mix!!!!
