I think Severus Snape is indeed evil. all the "Good" things people points out are just to gain trust and hide his true loyalty. Did anyone really expect to see Snape provide that he is evil through the series? I know far too many proof that he is evil.
1) only the bad guys killed people
2) JK Rowling is disapointed that many thinks he's good.
3) he taunted Harry, not teaching him at the end of HBP. It made no sense.
4) That twitch is a sign that his loyalty will now be for one side for good and that is on Voldemort's side.
5) "He could have taken Harry if he were evil." Think about it, he can't because of Dumbledore's protective spell.
6) Why stun Flitwick and not take down the barrier? Kind of a big clue to which loyalty he's on. Flitwick can take care of himself in battle for god sake, and with Order's help there is no need to worry and they can still protect Draco and his family.
7) Killing is never honorable, even if it was a "Plan". thsat is going to Voldemort's hands!

I do agree that Snape is evil, but I don't agree with you about him being protected from Snape by Dumbledore's spell. Dumbledore's spell only protected him from Voldie; and once Voldie got resurrected with Harry's blood, all bets were off. We see examples of this when different people hex Harry.

I do agree with you that killing is never honorable! And even if Dumbledore and Snape had worked something out, I would like to think that Dumbledore would've had sense enough to tell someone else about the plan for it to be effective. As it stands now, no one's going to accept any help or information on the Death Eaters from Snape! In fact, he's a marked man on several people's "hit list"; including a part giant who hexes simply roll off of.

Dumbledore even said himself that because he's more clever than most wizards, when he goofs up his errors are bigger and more traumatic to all.

I think the real shocker will come into play when it comes out that Snape's the real villian, not Voldie. I think it'll be a cinch to kill Voldie (relatively speaking) and that the real showdown will be when he fights Snape. Snape knows him all too well from teaching Harry for six years and invading his psyche during their Occlumency lessons. Even Voldie doesn't have that much insight on what makes Harry tick.

Let me start by pointing out that these are not spoilers, they are only oppinions.. i think we are allowed to say what we think, don't we?
I'm sorry, but i don't agree with you. I don't think he's evil. You are right about Flitwick, there was no reason to stun him, but i just don't think Snape is evil. It's true he has a darker side - very dark, for that matter - but i still think everything was planned. I don't know. That's how i see things.

Obviously you havent read what JK Rowling had to say this week. She has asked that all this speculating and rumors and potential spoilers stop at once. She wants people to be able to read the book on July 21 without all these preconcieved notions and rumors.

Respect this author by stopping the very acts she is speaking out against. Let everyone read the book and make of it exactly what they will. That is the author's wishes and they should not be ignored. Pax - C

he does what he thinks best,
good people do kill,
she wants them to think hes bad so at the end it will surprsie them, he is teaching harry, no twitch is a side effect, he didnt take harry but he could have removed the spell,
