I have a regulation size block wall on the side of and in the back of my yard. The trouble is, I can still see too much of the neighbor's windows. I know there is something that pool owners use but I don't like the blue stuff. Any suggestions?

When I was a kid I lived right next to a apartment complex and they would look into our back yard all the time. So my mom put up some lattice (about 3 feet higher then our fence)and some bushes so that the apartment complexes grounds keepers wouldn't cut our new hedges. Why not try that?

Maybe drill into the top of the existing wall and install a blockade style fence for the remaining height you require. (remember to use pressure treated lumber, and fill in around the post that go into the existing blocks).

Why not hire a mason to just put more of the same kind of blocks on top of the existing wall, if it will support it?

Perhaps like house construction, use that block wall as a foundation and add a wooden structure above with any design and heigth. good luck.

Don't try to lay more blocks on top unless you are going to paint or texture the wall, they never match, and it looks terrible. Maybe put flower pots on top?
