not for porn and stuff like that but where ADULTS can ask ADULT QUESTIONS. most of these questions are..."can you help me with my homework" or my fav "my girlfriend just broke up with her ex and i think i love him..but we are in the 6th grade and i'm not allowed to date yet"
what's your thoughts?

see its hard to police it yes. but at least in the adult section there would have to be some sort of confirmation that you are an adult. i know i know..that's diggin into my privacy..but how about only people who've had yahoo profiles since 2000 something...make it so that you've had to have had a yahoo account for at LEAST 5 years or so. that way you wouldn't have 10 year olds in here or 12 or 13 year olds. even up to 16 year old (i'd like to think there aren't many 10 year olds with yahoo accounts).
yahoo could also fix it so one had to put in id or drive license numbers to confirm you are of age. i know i know..again privacy..and i agree. but really half the kids out there are the ones who are hitting report aduse and the likes.

i can already tell a few kids answered this question.
the point isn't to keep kids from asking and answering but its to KEEP THEM FROM HITTIN ABUSE. ya know as an adult people like to say smart a.s.s things or ..curse or ask questions about sex etc. and i've seen many questions HONEST QUESTIONS get deleted because some kid MIGHT SEE IT. hey i have kids myself. i have a 17 month year old and another on the way. so i am not anti-kid. i am simply saying that there should be a divide.

Maybe use the contacts feature here and make contacts with other YA people who are adults asking adult questions.
As soon as the site is segregated to adults and kids, the porn and stuff like that will flood in, and the kids will be clamoring to get in as well.
There are also the groups that are self monitored and where "adult" questions and answers are segregated.
I like seeing the kids and adults mingle here. This is the best structured site where kids and adults all interact that I've found so far. How are kids supposed to learn how to discuss and debate if they are always segregated from the adults? And I think it's extremely unfair to the kids to take away the adult conversations they get to have here especially when Yahoo already hosts "adult" forums that are off limits to the kids. Have a little patience. Maybe we grown ups have some growing up to do ourselves if we can't be grown up enough to have adult conversations that are acceptable or open for younger audiences and participants.

Adults can ask questions on this site. If they want adults to answer, they should so indicate. Technically, "adults" range from age 18 to infinity. Do you want Yahoo to break the sites down into age groups? This doesn't seem feasible?

I agree with you on the stupidity of most questions asked on here, but people would definitely start abusing the adult section faster than you could say jack robinson, so I don't know if it's that great of an idea

that must be a great theory. Adults must be waiting to ask questions of a sexual nature with out the phobia that young babies are analyzing it. Adults have the perfect to ask it yet babies have the perfect to no longer be uncovered to it.

I've been saying that since the beginning. Separate the kids from the adults. Or have "Answers Jr." or something like that.

Yes, yes, yes please! I for one am getting tired of all the kiddie questions. I come here to answer questions that will hopefully help someone and most of the questions are juvenile junk.
