Heck I'd like to answer my own questions, give myself the best answer and a star and thumbs up.
Of course I'm the guy who IM's myself and blocks my e-mails to me.

There's no rule to the exception when it comes to starring questions. I have seen people star their own questions. Some people might not like it as they feel that it's a bit egotistical of the person to do that but it's ultimately your choice of whether or not you want to star your own question. So what aye am trying to say is do what makes you feel happy.

The point of starring is to keep track of interesting questions so you can check back later. You can find your own questions very easily right? ;)
