Of course not! We are not in decline. We are still the best country in the world! Why do you think everyone wants to come here?

I think that this nation is in for some very hard knocks. Also, I won't blame Bush only because 9/11 could have happened under another regime and the outcome might well have been the same.
Nevertheless, things aren't going to be easy for us.

No.
1) Gas prices are a lot higher in other industrialized countries.
2) the dollar has gone down a little, it is not plunging.
3) Our President is NOT an oil baron, & even if he still had strong ties to oil companies, so what?
4) We have always used spies. So has every other country in the history of the world.
5) I can't speak for others, but I don't even know anyone who knows anyone who has been tortured. Do you have evidence that our government has tortured any US citizens?

America is the way it has been for years. Every politician is out for themselves and always has been. The American government has been hiding things from the people ever since the 1700's and it was The Watergate Scandal when we realized presidents weren't totally honest, even though they might appear to be. Bush is an idiot and needs to be impeached for impersonating a president!!!

I've thought this for a while. Did you see the economic news this week. Chinese exports to the US are like 284 billion and Chinese imports from America are like 56 billion. In other words we're buying alot more than we're selling. All most all of our manufacturing jobs have gone to China. It's a mess. Pretty soon we won't have to worry about speaking Spanish, we'll be speaking Chinese. We owe China huge debt. Chinese and Indians are buying everything. Our military once the most powerful is depleted . It is not good. Not by any stretch of the imagination.

The Blame Game, if the dems had any real moral values they would be in office, instead we got Bush. and if the Dem party doesn't get a real person in front in 08 then we will be having this same talk in around 2010.

Every economy experiences cycles, but turning record surplus into record deficit by spending more than the guy on the Left really doesn't impress me at all.
I think Americans have been bred over the last 200 years from the kind of people who don't take this kind of ****, to the kind of people who just eat it up.

America is suffering a period of decline. However it is not irreversable.
We the people have to do something more than complain though.
I have for the first time in my life gotten active in a political campaign because if the decline is going to stop then each and every one of us must work to making things better.

It's happening much more rapidly than I thought. I originally thought the US would cease to exist arounf 2075, but now I think maybe 2040 and it will be our politicians who sell us out, creating one large nation encompassing Mexico to Canada and Just calling it the United States of North America. We my friends are in deep trouble and don't even know it.

unless you live over a oil reserve, all countries experience higher gas prices.
the USA pays far less than most countries and it's easy to do a search on this.... travel and you will see most people walk or ride a bike cause of the high cost of gas.
The only cloud over anyone's head is from nay-sayers who seem to have depression issues going on within them..
If you think positive life will lead you to positive solutions and if you think negative , well, that will come to you with both barrels loaded .
In the USA the choice is yours
