Or...you could do actual research on your own and not plagiarize someone's "long answer" from here.

I'm assuming you mean global warming.
Global warming causes the ice caps to melt at a greater rate than they would normally, because more of the sun's rays are being trapped in the atmosphere and bouncing back on to the ice caps. As the ice caps melt, there is more water, which heats faster than ice, making the rate of melting even faster. Polar bears need the ice to fish, but global warming causes the ice to be much weaker, much faster, and it can't support the polar bears' weight, making it impossible for them to fish. Polar bears can also get trapped out at sea, and drown, because there is no ice anywhere (or what ice there is can't support their weight).
Good luck on your paper, and try doing some research (not on Yahoo! Answers) on your own, too.

Your lucky! I wrote a paper on this!!
Global warming is melting the polar ice caps which is slowly rising the water level in the Arctic. Polar Bears, though they can swim, are starting to drown because they go in the water to feed, but it is too deep and they can run out of air or run out of air really quickly due to immense water pressure squeezing their lungs. Plus there is the slight chance of them getting stuck under the ice and either drowning or freezing to death.
Hope that helps you!

Well, simply put, their habitat is melting, and the polar bears are resorting to cannibalism because of it. The food they usually eat has no place to live, so their food is dying off causing them to resort to the behaviour of cannibalism. It's sad, because one by one they are being killed off and there is nothing we can do about it besides find alternatives to help preserve the ice caps and restore their habitat.
Good luck on your paper, hope this helps.
