I've been through 3 major surgeries, each times I spent a little while with my family and friends until just about as late as I knew I should. Then I just trusted in all I had a that everything would be alright. I for one believe in God and I know a lot of people on here don't but there is a verse in there that says if you ask him he will give you a Peace that surpasseth all understanding, I never believed until I really experienced it and it's for real, and I slept pretty good everytime. So I wish you the very Best and I know everything is going to be fine and I also wish you a speedy recovery, what ever it may be. God Bless-and Love. Now go and give all your worries to God he'll be up alnight anyhow.Get back on here soon so we can hear from you Okay! You don't have long to sleep so get your rest !

The more you try to fall asleep the harder it will be. Your mind is probably racing and won't shut off. Don't fight it. Get out of bed and go sit in front of the TV. Watch a program until your eyes won't stay open. Remember to set your alarm so you don't over sleep.

Keep yourself busy whats the point in trying to go to sleep if you can't. I am sure with the anaesthetic you will have a nice nap anyway. Good luck!

Watch a soothing movie on TV, read a good book, pray, just sit quietly, and most important think calming, positive thoughts. Best wishes on your healing!!

just do some deep-breathing to relax yourself. It will promote circulation and will be good for you during and after surgery.
