I heard that some carnival owner bought the wreckage of James Dean's car and it was ghoulishly exhibited around America. People would pay to come and gawp at it.
Did you hear about the last photo ever taken of James Dean? It was taken as Dean watched a ken-do martial arts exhibition. He had been made up to look old for his final film "Giant." They'd shaved back his hairline and dyed his hair grey, so in his final photo, he looks eerily like an old man even though he's only 24. Plus, Dean is sitting behind one of the ken-do sticks as it is swung, so it looks like there is a black mark going through his body, like he's been marked for death in some way (like in the "Final Destination" movies or "The Omen"). The photo is blurry too and makes Dean look ghostly in appearance. Weird.
There was also a curse on the car that Archduke Franz Ferdinand was shot in (it was the assassination that caused World War I). After many owners of the car died mysterious deaths, the car was eventually destroyed in an air raid during World War II.

Aaahh you watched the movie on BBC1 too eh?
I wonder if it is really in some kind of Government run, secret storage facility. This often happens with strange cases, I have read in the past that Marilyn Monroe's bed is still in existance and in storage (the bed she was found dead in). I also once read that the British Government still have the clothing of Jack The Rippers victims, stored.
It's all very weird and frustratingly interesting isn't it?

It was "scrapped'! I would say that someone's or several decided this is too "sick' to drag around what he was killed in and they stole it and scrapped it! Sent straight to the steel plant and melted down
