I can really relate to you on this point. My father died when I was 12 years old. My mother just a year and a half later.
Losing a parent at a young age is heartbreaking. It is truly a life altering event.
I often describe my life in 2 separate categories. Before my father died, and after.
I wonder often how my life would have been different if my parents had lived. I'm sure you do as well.

His name was Phil,
He went away,
I think about him every day...
I cried all the way from Nebraska to Texas - over a thousand miles and more than 16 hours of driving/crying. I'd say that qualifies as "the most" by far... for me, anyway.

Wow, we are alike...
I lost my dad at age 16 when I was in high school and it hurt a lot because, he actually died at home and he was taken to the hospital in an ambulance and I thought the doctors were not trying hard enough to save him...
I was so upset and I still miss my dad nearly 40 years later...

Depression. Most of my crying came during bouts of depression when I was alone. To this day, the only people that have seen me cry, other than in childhood have been my mother and my wife (only one time during our 3 years together).

high school is supposed to be the most memorable years of ones life, and let me tell you, they sure were for me (just not in the way i wanted)

When Darth Vader dies in Return of the Jedi!!
I never cry over death, what's the point.
However, I grieve with you over your pappa's passing on.
You cried the most because you understood what you were losing.

The past 8 years...I'd rather not say why, but it was filled with a lot of sorrow & pain and just thinking about it can make me cry endlessly.

Sad to hear that, I cannot name one event. It has come over several events.
