The tragic death of my father brought my family and my step-family closer. Before the death we hardly ever got together but now we do a lot of things together like take vacations together now!

Unfortunately it does. Many people do not just visit as they used to many years ago do to such a busy lifstyle And tragedy sometimes is the only way they will force themselves to take the time to get together.

without a doubt. after a tragedy, people tend to look past their differences and pull together for a common cause. its sad thats what it takes for people to come together, but for many it renews faith in humanity.

Yes, they do.
Just look @ 9/11, or, at all of the hurricanes we had here in Florida.
It brought people together in lots of ways.

They can, but it depends on the people. sometimes they can be just as easily ripped apart.
