My computer specs at... http://reviews.cnet.com/desktops/compaq-presario-s6300nx-athlon/4507-3118_7-30717541.html?tag=sub

I am going to be using it primarily for Autocad and Architectual Desktop. The renderings look horrible with what I have now. I play World of Warcraft and Starcraft every once in a while and in WOW I get a bad lag. I don't need anything extravagant for the games, just something a little smoother. From research I am pretty sure I need an AGP slotted graphics card. I will be adding 1gb of ram as well. Any recommendations on a decent video card for under $100-$125?

Autocad and A/D have much different markets than WOW. As a happy medium there are MANY mid end cards for 100-125. AGP8 is getting harder and harder to find. You can get quite a few cards for below that. the new egg link the other guy gave you is a VERY good choice. That's where I've bought most of mine. They have 125 different gp8 models

World of Warcraft (WoW) is a massive multiplayer online game (as if you hadn’t heard about it already),one that has such vast landscapes for players to traverse. World of Warcraft is the highly anticipated from Blizzard Entertainment that plunges you deeper into the Warcraft universe than ever possible before.Create a character choosing among eight possible starting races and ten unique classes each with their own starting location, faction status, primary skills, and unique place in the Warcraft world. Learn secondary skills such as Herbalism or Alchemy to use your enviornment to help you in your quest.

somewhat relies upon on what you love to do. in case you like enjoying video games the cardboard is a thank you to flow. you may desire to submit to in recommendations that maximum utility immediately would not continually make the main of those distinctive cores. there continues to be quiet slightly older utility out immediately that could desire to do better with a single middle 3 GHz CPU then a twin middle 2 GHz one. On yet another notice, the fees for the pictures enjoying cards are not going to flow down as rapid as a results of fact the cpu costs. flow with the cardboard.

best place i have found is http://www.newegg.com
you want something with at least 256Mb of memory just for WOW. I would go with 512 GDDR2 or 3 if possible

I suggest you get the 7300GT AGP:

It does not consume a lot of power. Your power supply might still be able to handle it. Faster and more powerful cards would require a power supply upgrade.
