Look, yes, that is what XM is saying they are suspending them for. Bottom line, if they were generating income for XM they would still be there. Maybe they will be back, who knows. Stern could have done the same thing and nothing would have been done. Why? Because he is a cash cow for Sirius. O&A should have kept their show on XM exclusively. Maybe then, they might have generated money. Money rules the radio industry. If you can't generate it, you'll be out. Look at Imus. Same thing. I am not for censorship of any kind. I just wish these companies would say it like it is. They should have just said, "O&A may have jeopardized the Sirius/XM merger, therefore, as an apologetic gesture to Condi and Mrs. Bush, we are letting them go." They cant do that. The angle they are going is a way of not having to honor their contract. It's all about money. Not censorship.

I like to think that the interuption we had yesterday was the epitime of irony and perhaps it was. They should not have suspended them for the incident. It's been far to PC for far too long in this county and what they or the homeless guy said was not as grave as they made it out to be. Yes, the "joke" was about rape and no one is denying that Rape is horrible; however, how many people, (Commics and other people alike) will drop a joke about Preists and Children. The reality of that scandel is horrid yet we all feel comfortable making a joke at their expense. What are we joking about there? Child Rape. There is no way around it - it's child rape used as a premise to humor. That being said, I do not think that humor should be censored nor should most speech be censored outside of the normal hatefull and vilolence enducing provisions we all generall agree to.

XM is a company that is on its last legs, if it wasn't for the deal with GM they would already be dead. As soon as Howard went with Sirius, it really was game over, XM is just withering on the vine now. They have not made any good business decisions, especially when it came to acquiring talent. $50 million for basically having Oprah's name linked to XM? Terrrible.
As far as O and A are concerned, just another failure, they have not been able to deliver any subscribers, the suspension is I think XM just distancing themselves from that failure. O and A will not be back on XM, I believe. For certain they will not be on satellite after the merger.

I feel that XM is a poorly run service, and needs this merger with Sirius. Sirius has run uninterrupted since day 1, and XM is wise to allow Mel Karmazin to take the reins of the soon to be merged company. Maybe then your service won't suck.

i am not sure, I hoe so, I have cancelled my subscription to XM though so I did not get to hear it. F*** XM! I hope they have "signal" trouble everyday for pulling this crap and turning their backs on their paying customers to give into special interests groups that do not even listen to their product. I am done with XM!
