No it's not sad to holiday alone but I would recommend trying an activity/adventure/exploration holiday where there are lots of singles, all like minded and you are SURE to have a great time. They're not cheap though.
If you're feeling tired ie want to sleep on a beach all day, then Cyprus is a good choice but I would avoid the major tourist areas if you want some peace and quiet. Try the Polis/Latchi areas - nice beach, lots of watersports, hire a bike or do some walking in the beautiful Akamas area...

I had my friends back out of a trip I planned to Europe when I graduated college. I went anyway. It was for three weeks, and although it did get a bit lonely, I saw and did things I normally wouldn't have done with my friends. I would say that if you just want to relax, sleep, read, drink that you should definitely do it. Better to holiday by yourself than to sit at home by yourself. Just bring a book and an open attitude. Have a great time.

No. It is brave. But I think you will be going to another coupley (that's not a real word) place. Try going to a European Capital instead. My friend recently went to Paris for 4 days on her own and she had the best time.

Or you could come to Las Vegas with us in 5 weeks! Can't wait!

I think your expectations are sad. Go on holiday alone - you won't be on your own for long even if you want to be. You will have a great time and for the rest of your life you will never wait for anyone else to do something you want to do. Freedom!

Not that your going alone but because you've got such a negative appoach to meeting people ....

I've always met new friends on holiday ...... you should give it a try !!!!

Definately. Why not?

I've done it before. The only thing that i found a bit weird was the flight?

You'll be just fine :o)
