Any place where the show(s) are continuously filmed would be considered "studio-style" as you put it. This is because they are in a studio that is locked from the inside so other people can't get in, yet you can still get out if needed. Any show that films at a different area or place in the world would be considered a "location-style". BUT!!!! There are those shows that do both at the same time. Such as Law & Order-SVU. Or even the show NCIS. Both of these shows have a "fixed" set where they do their work area and home-life shots from, while at the same time they go to other non-fixed areas to film scense for fields, forests, lakes and ocean sceans.
