Do you know any English words that have the word EAR in them?

for example, bear, fear, hear, Shakespeare ...
I am looking to collect all the words that have the words ear in them, so please try not to repeat the previous entry.

I don't think you'll get them all the way you're suggesting.

If you want a good list, the following link will show you 1101 such words!

That should pretty much take care of everything EXCEPT for proper names like Shakespeare. (Note that it will give you ALL forms of a word that contain these letters -- e.g., fear, fears, feared, fearing)

And here's how you can do this sort of thing for yourself!

Using the morewords web site (there are others that do some of this, but this one is my favorite)

1) After the morewords.com part add the following
a) /contains/ear
b) /starts-with/ear
c) /ends-with/ear

(Of course, you substitute whatever cluster of letters you want.)

2) From the home page - type a combination of letters in the search box together with the "wildcard" symbols (chiefly "*" and "-") as explained in the directions below the box. For example the three searches above can be done by entering the following in the search box
a) *ear*
b) ear*
c) *ear

(Note: there is an upper limit for how many words these methods will return - 4,000 for #1, 2,000 for #2. But that should handle a lot!)
