What do I do if my Dell Printer AC Adapter overheats and the printer stops working?

The screen of the printer has little squares on it

The Printer is an A940 model

Go to this link. There is a place on the right side which offers one free scan. Have you tried another adapter?

Have you gone to Dell for help? If your printer is out of warranty, they have a community forum where another Dell printer user may be able to help you.

I don't think the AC Adapter is the problem. It won't stop working just because it is hot.
