Bearded Dragons are NOT probed.
Sexing is something that is hard to explain by just typing it out, it kind of has to be shown....but here is an excellent link with picture references that makes it quite clear.

Underneath the bearded dragons tail, just above its vent, there will be either a single bulge, nothing or two bulges, these are known as hemipenal bulges. If you see two bulges it means that the bearded dragon is male. If there is only one bulge your bearded dragon is most likely a female. How it can be hard to sex a bearded dragon under 3 months old. Another way to sex a bearded dragon is that normally the males head will be larger in proportion to its body and females head usually looks smaller in proportion to its body.

Well, most of the above is a matter of degree. None are absolutely isolated to one gender or the other. Males tend to turn their beards black more often than females, but it is not something to use to determine sex. Males and females are pretty much the same size. So that shouldn't be used as a method to determine sex either. I have noticed females with smaller heads than males, but that isn't always the case. A common difference is that a male will have a thicker tail than a female. But keep in mind that age can also play a factor in that. As far as the submissive or dominant behaviors, both sexes will show any of the beardie behavior. I have seen all behavior performed by my males and females. However, males do tend to be more dominant and females more submissive.

bearded dragons are not that hard to tell. but its hard to tell while there young. there are enlarged pores on males inner thigh's and two lumps aft of there vent the males heads are more of a blocky shape. both bearded dragons beards darken but the males beard tend to turn jet black more predominant then the females. Jess is accurate on her answer. premoral femoral pores on the thighs and two lumps on the tail aft of the vent.

Hold the dragon in your hand belly down and carefully lift the tail. At the junction where tail meets body, at the beginning of the tail, there should be bumps. If there are two it's a male (they have two p----es so they can mount from either side) and if it's one longish bump, it's a female.
