Schumi already said he is not even thinking about It. So unless he is convincent a lot and some how changes his mind. And looks like he won't try it.

Lets hope he changes his mind.

Well don't even consider Michael Schumacher as he would embarrass all of the Indy drivers and win by a 15 second margin. Hakkinen would kick butt and take names too. I saw Mika Salo race just Saturday at the Utah Grand Prix, a round of the ALMS series. He did pretty well, though I am sure it was more the Ferrari 430GT to blame than him.

I'd love to see Mika and Mickey try the *real* brickyard. I think Mika would do well. He can so something that most F1 champions don't do well (if at all): pass.

While Mickey has an impressive record, as far as I can tell he's done most of it as the leader of the F1 "parades". Can't recall too many passes he made for the lead. No, passing in the pits don't count.

I think Mika could do it. Being a past champion in another series makes it a little easier to get a ride since his name is more recognizable, plus I think he has the savvy to do it and possibly win. The other guys don't even have enough wins together in F1 to equal Mika.

Tiago Monteiro. He is really one of the few drivers who has raced in the states and probably has had more time on an oval than the other drivers.

Mika Salo, he has connection in the ALMS garage. Herbert already tried Indy and embassed himself by not making it. There is NO way that Hakkinen would run Indy.

He's not on the list, but I'll add Damon Hill and for obvious reasons. However, at 47, it is a bit old to be venturing onto an oval for the first time and I am positive we'll never see him at Indianapolis, unless he's there to watch the race.

Panis - because he is a pretty tough guy to pass
Salo - solid all-around driver
Irvine - but only because I want him to stuff it in the wall!

No way Hakkinen should try. He's a Double-WDC. Why bring himself down to that level and do an American oval race?
