I saw the video where the anaconda regurgitates the baby hippo. Evidently it is possible that an anaconda can swallow a hippo, but what I want to know is how an African animal crossed paths with an animal from South America. (Please answer only if you really know)

Don't REALLY know but I have just been reading the wiki page where it describes a baby hippo rescued on an island after being pushed out to sea by a tsunami!
Maybe this could explain it.
Or maybe it wasn't a baby hippo
Or maybe it wasn't an anaconda
Or maybe men were involved in bringing the two together (like for a zoo or poachers or something)
