As for the first one, think for a bit about what the sentence would say in math. The first part is easy. Nine is greater than or equal to something.

9 ≥ ?

So, we have to think about the right half of the equation, which is "15 minus a number." This isn't tricky, either. It's simply 15 minus some number, and that number we'll call x.

So, we have 9 ≥ 15-x

Let's subtract 15.

-6 ≥ -x

To multiply by -1, we have to flip the inequality symbol, so we have

6 ≤ x or x ≥ 6.

2) -x/5 > -10

Multiply by -5 to get an easy answer, but don't forget to flip the inequality symbol since you're multiplying by a negative number.

x < 50

9>= (combine the symbols) 15-x
9+x>15-x+x to move x
9+x-9>15-9 to move 9
x>=6

second
-x/5>-10
-x>-50
x>=(combine symbols) 50

CHECK INEQUALITY BY REPLACING X WITH AN APPROPRIATE NUMBER.
