Yes, as long as you are over the age of eighteen. If you are under eighteen, there is nothing to 'co-sign', since you are not old enough to enter into a contract on your own.

Under the age of eighteen, the parent would actually be the only party to the lease agreement.

Depends on where you live. When I was 17 I moved out and my parents had to co-sign. Some apartments don't allow co-signers, and some don't allow teens.

Sure. I cosigned for my daughter. Never hurt your parents and they will always help.
