Pam there are plenty of instances in history where whites were killed En Masse, The gauls, the goths, 20 million russians in the 20th century, the Albanians, not to mention the 50 million white people in WWII in Europe alone, and don't forget the 20 million killed in WWI, but these don't count because its white men killing white men, all for racist reasons. Some of the soldiers fighting for the union were racist - the abolition of slavery was not the original goal of north in the civil war - I know, that's a big shocker. They were fighting to keep the Union whole. You can't make generalizations about the motivation of ALL the soldiers on either side.

But as you continue on that trip down the historical memory lane, one cannot forget that the 'American white man' - as an entity, if there is such a thing - has never been imprisoned, tortured or enslaved en masse because of race or nationality. That has happened to other races throughout history - repeatedly in some instances.

I think you have gotten some intelligent answers but I'm not sure you are really open to them.

Just take a look at your own question and your ranting, then do a search for Blacks or African Americans on this forum. Things should become quite clear to even you, boy.

You should know that white males have created a non-stop flood of hate and discrimination in this country that has now trickled and flows worldwide. No one respects them anymore and most get tired of their "we-know-it-all" routine when you actually don't know on the average. You just think because you're white males that you'll be heard and revered; you think what you say is God.

It is not; and my experiences in life have concluded that you simply cannot be trusted. Until I see differently, which won't ever happen, my facts and truth won't change at all. You white males will not allow it to...and then there's GINGER.

I think it's because of "our" history of actions.

There was a time that Europeans all thought themselves cultured and better than others who knew nothing of the European type of life or thinking.

Yet "whites" thought they were doing the world a favor by corralling different cultures and "teaching" them, or, in some cases using them.

The white history could be construed as the most modern example of this, but really all cultures have done this throughout history. Tribe overcoming tribe, country overtaking country, American Indian tribe over another. Religion over another.

Whites are the politically correct scapegoats in this day and age because of KKK, trying to change and "evolve" American Indians with our search for freedom from England and stealing Africans as if they were less than human to bring here to America as slaves.

Those reasons, as well as Hiroshima and Hitler are all somewhat modern hostorical events that show "Whites" as the evil race of current. (I hate that word, "Whites"! Because it's too vague and doesn't show the different races in caucasian ethnicity!)

However, we can all go back in history and find our own tribes and races commiting genocide on any number of other cultures.

This is true with Spaniards as well as an easy example, so get ready! For one, the Spanish forced their culture, language and beliefs over so many Mexican indigenous peoples for just a start. Once they moved north to what is now California, most indigenous tribes, such as the Chumash Indians, had Catholicism forced upon them by the Spaniards and were then enslaved to work building many of the missions at which Catholics pray daily to this day.

They (the Spanish) raped the indigenous indian women and made them take on what the Chumash thought a twisted foreign lifestyle, etc. (The rapes, of course, ended up in many Southern California indigenous tribes now being mostly Mexican in bloodline because the Spaniards overwhelmed Mexico first.)

We are all culprits of the same crimes if we could view our historical backgrounds fully throughout time!

I am a full believer of CELEBRATING ones' differences in culture, religion, food, etc. I LIKE to say, "My red hair happens to be Irish hair." Or "Meet my friend Norma, she's from Nicaragua."

There are things about EVERY modern culture that we can complain about if we search for them. But NONE of us have room to talk.

This PC thing is really harming the world. Let's KEEP and SHOW OFF our differences. Let's appreciate others' ways of life and thinking.

Because the media which is run by people of a different faith wants the spot light put on white people to bring differences affront. I have been to many other countries on the planet and the truth is the racism projected by the responses to your question are not there. In fact, if you were to go to many places on Earth, American Blacks are reviled more. We have so much to be thankful for yet we quibble about childish things. People bring up slavery, yet no one mentions it was AFRICANS who sold slaves to the "white oppressors". No one mentions in the Holy Quran slavery is perfectly justified, yet many American blacks feel it is their religion. No one mentions Americans ENDED slavery, and MANY whites revile overt racism. But the more we get ostracized, the more and more legitimate racism will come. I mean Affirmative Action is the only thing keeping many Blacks in their jobs, not because of their talent. Who is building New Orleans after Katrina? ANSWER: Latinos Who is the #1 financer for Hip Hop Music & the NBA? ANSWER: White males; yet Blacks are systematically taught to hate white people. Kind of said that the only person who could probably see the irony is no longer around...I am speaking of Ray Charles...

As an American White Man I don't really feel all that much hate.

Sure there is a lot of animosity toward America in general for the political gaffs we have made over the years. I find myself getting better service and opportunities than my non-white friends in similar settings. Doesn't really feel like hate to me but more like privilege.

I have a hard time understanding white men who complain about being hated. I don't see white men getting attacked or discriminated against because of their race. I've been in groups of white men who hate all non-whites and are very open about expressing that view point.

Maybe you need to get out more and experience the world before you categorize it?
