P2P can mean one of two things:
1) Peer to peer allows internet users to transfer files directly, rather than through the use of a website or directory. File transfers are done directly from the users' computers.
2) Also an abbreviation of "path to profitability," referring to the new startups currently losing money.

It means "peer-to-peer". Obviously, the guy before me answered. You'll see the term P2P in programs such as iMesh, Limewire, Morpheus, and Kazaa, which are all peer-to-peer programs. That means two users make a network between them to trade files. You can say it's a "network-within-a-network".
