On the 94 civic there is a two terminal connector behind the right side of the instrument panel by the glove box. you need to jump the terminals of that connector using a jumper wire then with the jumper in place turn the igintion key on and count the long and short flashes of the check engine light. the long flash is about 1/2 second; the short flash about half of that. Each long flash counts for a value of 10 and each short flash is a value of 1 so if you have 4 long flashes and 3 short flashes the code is 43. then you can get the information on that.
the two terminal connector should be easy to spot; it will be near the underside of the glove box under the close out panel. I think its on the very right side of the car but it may be more torwards the center of the glove box

hope that helps

pull up the passengers side kick plate, underneath youll see a blue/black/grey/green connector with two holes. stick the end of a paper clip in one hole, and the other in the other hole. turn the car to 'on' and the check engine light will flash.

i dont know how much you know about cars, so the kickplate is the plastic peice on the inside of the door.. by the passengers feet.
to read the codes you need to count the number of flashes and pauses. if you have three short flashes, a long pause and 2 more short pauses, this is code 32.
