Depend on if you encrypted your files, if you did, then you wont be able to as they are locked to your original account profile.

Yeah that happens when you change Master Hard Drives.
Just turn off your PC, turn it on and then when booting press F8 three times, Select to start Safe Mode and choose your Operating System.

Then when you are in, go to "My PC", right click the drive where all your files are, go to the security tab, then click advanced. Then go to the Ownership tab, theres a little square that you can check mark that says something about taking owner ship of the selected items, just checkmark the square and click accept. Just wait a bit and that will give you full ownership of ALL the files in the hard drive you selected.

Then just restart your pc normally and you should be able to access that Hard Drive now.

I hope this helps ^_^

when you turn on your computer press F8 immediately and consecutively (blow by blow) until you see the boot menu; then select you C windows drive and select SAFE MODE. windows will boot in safe mode if your computer does not reboot itself it sounds good and you can back up your data. but if your problem goes on try to repair you windows. do some virus check with your D windows. if your computer countdowns from 10, your infected with blaster worm.
but if these ways did not solve your problem i have a offer for you and im sure that it works : you can use a live os, i offer you to use LINUX KNOPPIX you dont have to install it and it doesnt need any hard disk drive. you can access all you files with any security layer. sometimes this os can access data on broken hard disks. you can just put the cd in cd-drive and reboot your system and back up your data. then shutt down your pc and remove the cd then turn it on everything will be ok.
linux is freeware and you dont have to pay lots of money to buy it. its useful and you dont have to fear of it.

Hello sir,

Regarding restarting your PC.
If its a desktop PC, please try using a new CMOS battery. Its very cheap.

Regarding the installation on D drive.
There could be several reasons for this.
1. If you have different file systems (FAT32, NTFS).
2. If you had a password for logging onto your system when the installation drive was C, it won't let you access your documents folder.

Perhaps a fresh installation of your computer would help you avoid this problem.

I hope this helps.
