I read the davinci code and I am fascinated by symbology, and would like to know if it is an actual area that you could study in? Can you have a career in this? Can anyone give me any help? Thank you to all.

Most of what you are interested in involves complex mathematical equations. Most of the people (code breakers) that I am aware of are mathematicians, statisticians, or physicists. If you are interested in being a code breaker, you better hone up on your math skills.

Not sure about the career part.
However the benefits of symbology study are great even without a degree or career.

You might also want to start with sacred geometry.
As this is the basis for most symbols, religious or not.
