If someone posted a comment on your 360 saying that your youth and looks are fading and that you need to find a man while you still can...as if that's all that there is in life?? And you're 23-years-old??

Not that I fit in terms of the most specific category for your audience, but...if this person was looking at your 360, I'd be more sympathetic than offended; they *obviously* have severe problems with either their vision or their sanity...not to mention their whole "being a throwback to a happily-bygone era" issue.
Besides, they probably took one look at you, realized they didn't have a chance, went into sour grapes mode...and out came a little whine.

i'm used to it.
i had the most obnoxious professor (who feels he's god's gift to women and, according to the rumor mill, acts like that too) who always give the same speech on the first day of class for freshmen. "girls, if you don't get a boyfriend by the time you're an intern, you'll NEVER get married. I even had a student who was really pretty but never seemed to have a guy. I saw her a few years later...whoa, she had ballooned and became an old maid... mark my words, yadda yadda..."
i wanted to punch him in the face! but hey, i was just 20 and didn't have the guts.
Now I get told the same thing in better, subtler, with less I-am-God-and-am-omnipotent attitude, but I seriously don't get that affected. People can think what they want to think. If they believe that a woman's worth is only based on the kind of man/boyfriend/husband that she can snag, then I pity them.
I know my worth and that it is mine and mine alone to determine. And that no man can change that.

On a serious note, don't let such ridiculous comments get to you. People have this notion that marriage and kids is some kind of requirement to life and happiness. Don't let such things offend you so easily. Thats part of the problem with this country right now. You can't say anything without offending 4 different groups of people.
