i assume you may desire to advance daphnia in there to feed on your distinctive fish. I relatively have under no circumstances finished that, although i think I examine you may do it in almost any dimension container. you may additionally make it a scientific corporation tank to briefly place of living fish you're treating. With it being small, it is going that can assist you you shelter the lush chemical compounds. EDITED to characteristic: Galaxy Rasboras (aka Celestial Pearl Danios) are costly little critters that prefer a fifteen-gallon minimum, species easiest tank on condition that they could be tiny, comfortable, and shy. i've got had some ordered for weeks now and can not seem to get them in. i would not placed money into those for this form of small tank once you think approximately that they had a great variety of the time no longer proceed to exist.

So you have a 10 gallon with a betta, 2 cherry barbs and a cory cat, right? I would add 2-3 more cherry barbs and another cory if it were my tank. But if you want only one more fish and don't want anything you already have a male guppy would probably be the best bet.

the best way i can answer that question for you is if you already have a fish occupying the tank first, then place the betta afterwards. if the betta is is in the tank first it will defend it. take it out change the layout of your tank add or remove ornaments place the fish in and then the betta

What sized tank? Although they're better in schools, you could try a cory. Female guppies, platies, variatus can work too.
If it doesn't have to be a fish, you can keep African dwarf frogs with them. And I have one with two ghost shrimp buddies.
I'm also assuming the betta is a male. You can keep multiple females together, but you should have at least 3, 5 is better.

If it's a female betta, then you can pretty much keep any other tropical community fish with it. If it's a male betta, then you can only keep fish such as barbs with it.

as far as fist its not really a good idea but I like the idea of the ghost shrimp as they will help keep the tank clean being that they are bottom feeders

Betas are very territorial and should be kept alone. They are called the Chinese fighting fish for a reason.
