It is very clear that Bush is the worst ever. He claims that he was elected by the people but does not listen to them

I consider one of the worst presidents in American history to be sitting now. The Carter years were not great, but they followed the bad Ford years (no fault of his since he inherited the disgrace that President Nixon left him). President Reagan's great contribution was not the economy--I was an American farmer at the time. I voted for RR twice. It only cost me about $200 thousand each time. Reaganomics. Nevertheless, President Reagan brought back American pride. I'm glad I voted for him--both times, even though he made me poor. President George H.W. Bush was great. Seriously. President Clinton was also great, and could have gotten a lot more done if the Right wouldn't have been consistently trying to find dirt where none was. They finally got him for doing something many of the were probably also doing. President George W. Bush's Administration has simply proven that "Like father; like son," isn't always true. I think there might be four presidents worse than GW--Herbert Hoover, Martin Van Buren, Grover Cleveland, and Milard Filmore.

Jimmy is just an irrelevant, bitter old liberal. Voters realized they made a huge mistake voting for that idiot and they corrected it they very first chance they got. Reagan got our hostages out, gas back in the pipeline, put the brakes on inflation, the economy back on track, and put an end to the cold war while he was at it. All he had to do was the opposite of what the nitwit bankrupt peanut farmer was doing. Jimmy hadn't been so stunned since he reported spotting a UFO to the Air Force. Clinton inherited a much healthier economy from his predecessors than W did.
And dumb a** libs can lie all they like, but Republicans don't go overseas and tell them our leader is misguided or worse.

In an interview on Monday with NBC's "Today" show, Carter tried to take back some of his words, saying he was comparing Bush's presidency to that of Richard Nixon.

"I wasn't comparing this administration with other administrations back through history, but just with President Nixon's," Carter said

Apparently even Carter doesn't agree with Carter. Better get out of the way, Jimmy's backtracking big time!

Jimmy Carter, let me count the ways! Selling out the Panama Canal, Iran, inflation, interest rates in the twenty percent range. Need I go on? It's a toss up between Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton for the worse in recent times.

I do agree with President Carter that Bush is the worst president ever. Of course the Bushies, who don't understand democracy, think that anyone who dares disagree with fearless leader is some how a traitor.

Democracy thrives on dissent and difference of opinion. Totalitarianism thrives on everyone walking in lockstep with the fearless leader.

I was in grade school when Carter was president. I remember every adult referring to him as being a horrible president. I believe his opinion really doesn't matter. But to answer your question - give me 5 more years and I will either believe he was a complete dipstick, a complete evil illiterate genius, or a completely right and brave illiterate patriot. I can't answer that right now. But I can tell you that we all see and here is so diluted with media bias that who knows what the truth is anymore.

Maybe President Carter is happy that President Bush has finally overtook him in running the United States to the ground.

No. I believe Jimmy Carter is the worst President we've had during at least the last 50 or 60 years.

I think he is the worst president in US history.

(someone said its the presidents who do nothing that are the worst. I'd rather have one that did nothing and nothing wrong than one who does a lot, a lot of bad things)

Jimmy Carter doesn't even believe Jimmy Carter. That's why he took back what he said and said it was misinterpreted.
